Support for Agricultural Research Networking
April 1999
- WARDA has some $50,000 remaining from its grant of $310,000 from
PSGE.
- WARDA expects to disburse these funds by June of this year.
- A portion of the funds will be reserved to pay costs for a seminar
for coordinators of the WARDA rice task forces, plus the coordinator
of WECAMAN, all of whom are based at WARDA.
- Remaining funds will be disbursed to resolve Internet connectivity
problems at problematic sites, such as Nyankpala outside Tamale, home
of the Savannah Agricultural Research Institute (SARI), which at present
has only a problematic radio phone.
