strengthen the advocacy and managerial capacities of DPOs.
This program builds on an existing successful program that has worked to promote the inclusion of people
with disabilities
in HIV/AIDS awareness raising and education programs and to strengthen the capacity of DPOs to advocate for
the full inclusion of people with disabilties.
Specifically the program works to
- provide advocacy training session for DPOs
- continue to build institutional capacity of DPOs
- develop disability awareness sessions for USAID partners and others working in HIV/AIDS
- assess the integration of other partners' programs in these areas
- adapt materials for the inclusion of people disabilities and share best practices
