Description: The program is assisting the five governments of Central Asia and relevant civil society actors in their efforts to respond to the problem of human trafficking through prevention and protection activities. The objectives are: 1) to prevent human trafficking through gender-mainstreamed awareness-raising campaigns on key human trafficking issues focused on national level advocacy, policy debate, and informational activities through civil society and governmental and non-governmental actors; and 2) to protect both female and male victims of trafficking through providing appropriate and comprehensive direct assistance.
