Since 2000, remarkable progress on maternal and child survival has been made, with a 58 percent decrease in under-five child mortality and a 42 percent decline in maternal mortality across USAID’s 25 priority countries. These numbers represent more than just statistics; they signify lives saved, dreams realized, and a brighter future for millions of women and children. Ending preventable maternal and child deaths is within our reach.
