USAID and Save the Children provide humanitarian assistance to vulnerable populations in times of emergency and strengthen capacities for disaster response.

Following El Niño Costero in 2017, we trained more than 160 community leaders in disaster risk management. We involved more than 1,000 community members in preparing their response plans and we installed early warning systems in 12 communities.

In 2023, in the Peruvian north more than 3,000 homes have been benefited.
